Summary |
To date, most people spend the majority of their time indoors (fixed or mobile), often in shared spaces. With the introduction of mechanical environmental control systems, and the resulting increased control of the indoor climate, the expectations of the occupant for a thermally comfortable and healthy indoor climate have risen. In view of the importance of thermal comfort and indoor air quality, the design challenge is to achieve acceptable indoor environmental conditions for each individual occupant of a building or passenger.
The Objectives of the project are thus the study of all relevant parameters in creating an artificial healthy and secure climate in: a building, shelter, cockpit, cabine etc.
The relevant parameters are: Moisture, Radiation, Temperature (wet and dry bulb), Air movement
Air ventilation.
The study has to be done both experimentally and numerically and must be done with
Occupants present in the enclosed environment. |
