 Welcome to the BELGIAN homepage of the ENEEST.EU project: presentation of BEST Committee Minimize
The “Belgian Environmental Sciences and Technologies – BEST” was created in 1995 as a Committee within the Belgian Society of Mechanical and Environmental Engineering – BSMEE and has as mission statement to improve the ability of the Belgian manufacturing industry in environmental engineering.
To realize this mission, the BEST Committee organizes information days, seminars and training on subjects related to environmental engineering.
Since the first, organised on November 29th 1995 in cooperation with the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, information days and seminars followed with clock-wise regularity.

BEST/BSMEE sought for association with the “Confederation of European Environmental Engineering Societies – CEEES” and became a full member in 1996. Through the CEEES, members of the different national associations can interact as well as with the IEST (Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technologies) in the US.
These international contacts enable the BEST Committee to follow global activities in the field of environmental engineering and disseminate information on this to the Belgian industry.
